CityKids

Our mission is to partner with parents to help plant and cultivate the seed of the Gospel in the hearts of our children.

CityKids is our ministry to infants through 5th grade. Each classroom is designed to engage our children in their ability to understand and embrace the truth and beauty of the Gospel in age appropriate ways.

Infants Through Pre-K

Children go directly to their classroom for the entire service, where we share the love of Jesus in a safe and nurturing environment. Our infants and toddlers can expect music, prayer, and play! With preschoolers, we increasingly engage them in storytelling and discussion of Bible stories.

Family Worship Sunday

At NewCity Orlando, we value children as part of our covenant community. Family Worship Sunday invites our K–3rd graders to join the main service, helping them understand the elements of worship while observing their parents’ examples.

Kindergarten Through 5th

Our elementary students go directly to their grade-specific classrooms for the entire service. (Except for Family Worship Sundays, see below!) Using the Gospel Project curriculum, kids dive deep into the big story of the Bible — God’s plan to rescue his people through his Son, Jesus Christ. Children engage in prayer, music, a Gospel-centered Bible story, and fun activities in both small and large group formats.

NewCity
Student Community

NewCity Student Community exists to see the Father answer the Lord’s Prayer as we call, form, and send disciple-makers.

Together we explore the life of Jesus through the Scriptures, guided by NewCity’s Disciple-Defined model and practiced through the Common Rhythms.

Disciples are united to Jesus in communion with God, where we receive and respond to Him; in community with one another, where we are known and loved; and in co-mission to the world, through our work and witness.

We love to have fun—because we believe it’s a crime to bore students with the Gospel. At the same time, we are on a mission because we are called to make disciples.

NewCity Care

Congregational Care occurs primarily in the daily, weekly, and monthly NewCity rhythms (spaces) - Sunday worship, Collectives, Communities, and Circles. As we follow Jesus together with mutual commitment to support and see one another, we find that our love for God, neighbor, and one another overflows.

Congregational Care also encompasses NewCity Leadership’s commitment to tend to its members experiencing suffering, sorrow, and sin.

We are committed to caring for the whole-person (all of us) in context (all of life) toward Christ-likeness (all of Jesus). This encompasses an individual’s spiritual, relational, emotional, and physical well-being. We seek to offer a holistic approach which addresses severity (addiction, trauma, character development, spiritual aspects, etc), type of challenge (sin, suffering, or sorrow), and current reality of social support & resources.

Because of this commitment to pursue wholeness for each NewCity member, NewCity Leadership provides care through a variety of means and methods.

This includes spaces like Congregations, Collectives, Communities, and Circles, as well as specified support such as Care Teams, pastoral counsel, and professional counseling. NewCity leadership (pastoral staff, care staff, and NewCity officers) seek to discern the best means of care through prayer and partnership with the member for the specific individual and specific situation.

NewCity Leadership is so glad to stand with you in the space between - the space between the finished work of the Cross and the full restoration of mind, body, and spirit.
